Hinduism the most oldest religion in the world. And in Hinduism temples have a special importance.Generally in most of the temple the Vahana of a God is always seen in front of the Lord.And in case of Shiva temple the Vahan of Lord Shiva that is Nandi which is also a manifestation of Lord Shiva is present in front of The Shivling;But there are very very few mysterious temples without Nandi in front of Lord Shiva.
Lord Koteshwar Mahadev temple in Purandar taluka of Pune iistrict of Maharashtra is one of the such temples without Nandi just like a unsolved mystery.

Long long ago in the Kodit village there was a tailor who used to come to the temple to sharpen his needles on the idol of Lord Nandi while chanting the name of lord and one day Lord Nandi pleased by him and and turned the needles into Golden needles but Lord Nandi kept condition for him that he will not tell anyone about this or he will not let people to know about this. days passed by he became more richer and people got astonished and some how people learnt the truth about his richness.And as per the condition Lord Nandi vanished from the temple since then the idol of Lord Nandi is not present in the Koteshwar Mahadev temple of Kodit Village.which you can see in the following video.
